Raised in a family of restaurateurs, Chef Shea discovered her passion for cooking at a young age, learning alongside her parents. Those early years shaped her belief that food is a powerful expression of care and connection. She specializes in wholesome, seasonal cooking that highlights local farms and high-quality ingredients, creating meals that are comforting, nourishing, and thoughtfully prepared for every table.
You have guests coming for dinner, what are you making? Herb-roasted chicken, creamy mashed potatoes and buttery green beans. Simply delicious.
What’s your favorite ingredient to cook with?
Persimmons, especially the hachiya variety. They have this unique caramel-like flavor that offers something special in cozy fall and winter dishes.
What’s your favorite season to cook in and what dish are you making?
Winter! It’s the best time for my favorite low-and-slow dishes, like braised short ribs and sourdough bread.
